Andrea Fosfuri, a New Full Professor from Madrid

He strengthens the Department of Management and Technology

A former visiting professor at Università Bocconi in the spring of 2007, Andrea Fosfuri becomes full professor at the Department of Management and Technology in the academic year 2012-2013, leaving the same position at the Department of Business Administration of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, which he chaired during the period 2009-2011. Previously, he taught at Boston University, IESE Business School and Carnegie Mellon University and he was research affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR).

A graduate from Università di Urbino, Fosfuri obtained a PhD from Universitat Pompeu Fabra with a dissertation on Technology Transfers, Spillovers and International Investments.

His research activity, which investigates issues that concern innovation as an engine of growth, the dynamics of markets for technology and the strategic management of licenses, was awarded with four Research Awards between 2004 and 2011 and received several grants from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Education, the last of which worth 222.000€ for the years 2009-2012.

Fosfuri is an associate editor of Management Science since 2009 and is also in the editorial board of Academy of Management Review, Strategic Management Journal and European Management Review.
