Nicola Gennaioli, a New Entry for the Department of Finance

The new full professor comes from Universitat Pompeu Fabra

Nicola Gennaioli enters Bocconi’s faculty as a full professor for the Department of Finance. A senior researcher of the Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional (CREI), research professor of Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and research affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), Gennaioli comes from Universitat Pompeu Fabra where, since 2008, he has taught political economics, economic development and macroeconomics. Previously, he was assistant professor at Stockholm University and postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University.

A graduate in Economics from Università Bocconi, in 2004 Gennaioli obtained a PhD from Harvard University and he has received several grants to carry on his research projects, the last from the European Research Council (2009) and from the International Growth Centre (2010).

He has published papers in finance, political economics and psychology in eminent international journals. He is associate editor of Journal of the European Economic Association, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Development Economics and Economic Journal, and a member of the panel of Economic Policy.
