The Department of Finance Welcomes Enrico Biffis
THE SCHOLAR COMES FROM IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDONStarting from September 2014 Enrico Biffis is joining the Department of Finance of Bocconi University as an AdjunctProfessor. He comes from Imperial College London, which he joined in 2007 with the role of Associate Professor of Actuarial Finance.
His main research interests lie in the areas of insurance and risk management, with a focus on asset-liability management, valuation of insurance liabilities and optimal design of risk transfers for catastrophe exposures and long term risks.
After graduating in Statistics from Università degli Studi di Trieste, Biffis obtained a MSc in Actuarial Management from Cass Business School and then returned to Trieste where he earned his PhD in Mathematics for Economic Decisions.
Biffis is the author of several papers published in top tier publications such as the Journal of Risk and Insurance, Quantitative Finance and Insurance Mathematics & Economics
