Joachim Vosgerau, a Consumer Behavior Scholar at Bocconi

AN EXPERT OF DECISION MAKING, THE NEW FULL PROFESSOR IS TO JOIN THE DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING

Decision making, consumer behaviour, and factors of food consumption are among the research interests of Joachim Vosgerau, who will join the Marketing Department as a Full Professor. Starting from August 2015, he will be teaching the MBA course Marketing Decisions.

A Full Professor of Marketing at the School of Economics and Management at Tilburg University (Netherlands) since 2013, Vosgerau previously taught at Carnegie Mellon University (Pennsylvania) and has been invited to present his research at universities all over the world, including Berkeley, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Stanford University, Tel Aviv University, the Hautes Écoles Commerciales in Paris, Harvard and the MIT – already in 2012 one of these seminars brought him to Università Bocconi.

When nutrition matters reach the personal level, Professor Vosgerau opts for Italian food and wine. In terms of leisure activities, he shows a pronounced preference for sailing, snowboarding and motor biking, on which he hopes he will get to spend more time once in Milan.
