Torbica Co Editor of an Important Journal of Health Economics

THE BOCCONI PROFESSOR IS NOW PART OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD OF VALUE IN HEALTH, A JOURNAL COLLECTING RESEARCH ARTICLES IN THE AREAS OF PHARMACOECONOMICS, OUTCOMES RESEARCH AND HEALTH POLICY

For the next four years Aleksandra Torbica, Assistant Professor at the Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management, will be co-editor for Value in Health, the Journal specialized in the area of health economics. The goal of the journal is to provide a forum for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge and research in health policy, health technology assessment and the health-related outcomes of interventions used to treat diseases. “Given the journal’s high reputation, my role as the Co-Editor is to contribute to its further development by critically evaluating articles submitted for publication”, explains Torbica. “This means that I am continuously informed about new ideas stemming from my scientific community and play an active part in the fundamental publication process”.

“Value in Health is one of the leading journals in the field with increasing importance among scholars and policy makers”, adds the professor. The review had in fact an Impact Factor of 3.279 in 2014. “I will closely collaborate with the two Co-Editor-In-Chiefs, which are prominent scholars in my field. I perceive this appointment as an important recognition of my scientific achievements in health care research and I am enthusiastic in making further contributions in the following years”.
