Carlo Salvato Acknowledged by the Family Firm Institute

THE PROFESSOR OF BUSINESS STRATEGY HAS WON THE BARBARA HOLLANDER AWARD, IN MEMORY OF FFI'S FOUNDER AND FIRST PRESIDENT

Carlo Salvato (Department of Management and Technology) is the winner of the 2016 Barbara Hollander Award, one of the four Achievement Awards assigned each year by the Family Firm Institute, the self-defined “global network of thought-leaders in the field of family enterprise”. The Barbara Hollander Award was created in 1995 to honor the late founder and first president of FFI by perpetuating her profound interest in family business and her love for education and learning.

An FFI Fellow and former member of the FFI board of directors, Prof. Salvato has served as an associate editor of the Family Business Review and is co-recipient of the 2013 FBR Best Article Award.

The Award has been assigned to Salvato, as the official motivation explains, “because of his ongoing and diverse dedication to the field of family business. He is one of the lead educators in FFI, both in the GEN program, and as a past associate editor of the Family Business Review as well as a professor at one of the world’s leading universities. Carlo is a strong promoter of family business success and research globally and provides unfailing support to other academics, practitioners and family enterprise members – so much in the tradition of FFI’s founder, Barbara Hollander”.
