Cennamo, Competitiveness in Platform Markets

Carmelo Cennamo joins the Department of Management and Technology

Carmelo Cennamo joins Bocconi’s Department of Management and Technology as assistant professor in the academic year 2010-2011 from IE Business School, where he has recently obtained his PhD in strategic management with a dissertation about Competitive Dynamics in Platform Markets.

He has published three articles in refereed journals, including one in Journal of Business Ethics, and has been visiting fellow at Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

His research interests include competition and the management of ecosystems in platform markets; platform-based competition; and stakeholder management and firm competitive advantage.

He won the 2010 Distinguished Student Paper Award from the Business Policy and Strategy Division of the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, and the 2009 and 2010 Outstanding Reviewer award from same division of the Academy of Management.
