Zachary Estes, Marketing Psychologist

He joins Bocconi in the academic year 2011-2012

After two stints as visiting professor in 2009 and 2010, Zachary Estes in the academic year 2011-2012 joins Bocconi’s Department of Marketing as associate professor from University of Warwick’s Department of Psychology. In the past he also worked for the University of Georgia and taught at the University of Birmingham.

His research investigates central issues of language, cognition and behaviour such as affective processing, language comprehension, and the perception of similarity. He’s the recipient of a £ 100,000 grant from the Economic and Social Research Council for the years 2011-2012 (principal investigator with Lara L. Jones, Wayne State University).

He sits on the editorial board of Cognitive Science, Journal of Experimental Psychology and Cognition and Emotion and in the peer review college of the Social Research Council. He’s the author of more than 30 publications.
