Maria Cucciniello, an Expert of ICT from Edinburgh

SHE STRENGTHENS THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICY ANALYSIS AND PUBLIC MANAGEMENT

In September 2012 Maria Cucciniello left her position of researcher at University of Edinburgh to join the Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management in the role of assistant professor.

Former SDA Bocconi assistant from 2006, year in which she obtained a master of science in Economics and Management of Public Administrations and International Institutions, Cucciniello then obtained a PhD at Edinburgh with the dissertation An Investigation of the Use of ICT in the Modernization of Health Care Sector: the Role of Electronic Medical Records.

With Greta Nasi and Raffaella Saporito (Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management) she published Trasparenza nel settore pubblico: quale divario tra il dichiarato e il desiderato (Egea, 2012) and two papers in international books on e-government and transparency. Cucciniello also received several grants for her research projects on the impact of ICT on health care systems and, more in general, on e-government in the Italian public sector.
