Giunia Valeria Gatta, a New Adjunct Professor for PAM

Another new entry of September 2014 is Valeria Gatta Giunia, who is joining the Department ofPolicy Analysis and Public Management of Bocconi University as an AdjunctProfessor. She comes from Columbia University, where she entered in 2011 as an Adjunct Associate Professor for the Department of Political Sciences.

Gatta graduated cum laude in Philosophy at the Università degli Studi di Milano (1998) and then earned her PhD from the University of Minnesota with the dissertation Theorizing Among Ruins: Karl Jaspers and the Political Theory of Boundary Situations (2008).

Her research and teaching interests focus on the areas of History of Political Thought, Continental Political Theory, Existentialism, Liberalism, International Political Theory, International Ethics, Politics of Human Rights.

A reviewer for Political Research Quarterly, she has presented the results of her work on the occasion of several international conferences.
