Lucchini Guastalla Receives the Aptissimi Award in Barcelona

ORGANIZED BY THE ESADE ALUMNI LAW CLUB, THE PRIZE IS AWARDED BY A JURY COMPOSED BY ESADE'S FACULTY OF LAW

Emanuele Lucchini Guastalla, Full Professor of Civil Law at Bocconi University, received the ESADE Alumni Law Club’s Aptíssimi Award in the "Excelencia Académica" category last night in Barcelona. The prize is awarded each year by a jury composed by ESADE's faculty of law to a foreign professor who has distinguished himself for his career achievements. The ceremony was attended by Spanish Minister of Justice Rafael Catalá Polo.

Lucchini Guastalla, during his academic career, has had significant relationships with Spain and Spanish-speaking countries and has published scholarly works in Spanish. He has been, and in some cases is, visiting professor at ESADE, Madrid’s Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Universidad de Buenos Aires and Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora (Argentina). He is académico correspondiente of the Academia Nacional de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales of Córdoba (Argentina), profesor honorario of the Universidad Abierta Interamericana of Buenos Aires and miembro honorario of the Colegio Publico de Abogados of the Capital Federal of Buenos Aires. In 2014, the Legislatura della Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires declared him Huésped de Honor de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, the utmost honor that the administration of the Argentine capital can confer to a foreigner.

Prizes for other categories went to Financial Times/RSG Consulting (contribution to business law), Banc Sabadell (legal consultancy), and Luis Enrique de la Villa Gil (professional career).
