Arianna Vedaschi Coordinator of IACL's Constitutional Responses to Terrorism Group

The appointment has been announced Tuesday at the world congress of the International Association of Constitutional Law in Seoul

Arianna Vedaschi, Full Professor of Constitutional Law at Bocconi University, is the new coordinator of the Constitutional Responses to Terrorism group at the International Association of Constitutional Law (IACL), chaired by University of Princeton's Kim Lane Scheppele. The appointment has been announced Tuesday, 19 June, in Seoul, at the 10th World Congress of Constitutional Law.

Prof. Vedaschi has been involved with the group for years, and edited the volume produced by one of the group's earlier workshops on Secrecy, National Security and the Vindication of Constitutional Law (2013) with David Cole and Federico Fabbrini. She has written about the dark side of counter-terrorism, as well as about extraordinary rendition, the state secret privilege and the balance between privacy and security. She's also organized the group workshop at the World Congress which is under way.

In announcing Prof. Vedaschi's appointment, Chair Kim Lane Scheppele has thanked the outgoing coordinator, Federico Fabbrini, who takes up the responsibility of Dublin City University's Brexit Institute.
