Guido Corbetta Named One of the 13 Most Influential Academics in Family Business

HE IS ONE OF THE ONLY FIVE SCHOLARS WORKING AT EUROPEAN UNIVERSITIES LISTED BY FAMILY CAPITAL IN THE FAMILY 100 INFLUENCERS

Guido Corbetta, AIdAF-EY Chair in Strategic Management of Family Business in Memory of Alberto Falck at Bocconi University, is one of the 13 academics included in the The Family 100 Influencers listed by Family Capital (subscribers only), the London-based publishing company “dedicated to the family enterprise sector”.
 
The list, made by the Family Capital editorial office taking into account the opinion of 2,000 family business insiders, includes financiers, businesses, consultants, investors, lawyers, academics, executive search and even four inspirational fictional characters - King Lear, JR Ewing from the TV series Dallas, Charles Foster Kane from the movie Citizen Kane and Logan Roy and his family from the TV series Succession.
 
Family Capital defines Prof. Corbetta “Italy’s number one academic when it comes to the family businesses” and writes that his academic activity and his experience in the boards of Italian family businesses “give him unique insights into one of the most family business orientated economies in the world.” Professor Corbetta is also the Scientific Director of the AUB Observatory of Italian Family Businesses, which analyzes every year the accounts of all the Italian family businesses with a turnover of more than €20mln.
 
Seven of the listed academics work in the US, three in Germany, while Italy, Switzerland and Australia gain one spot each. Two more Italians are featured by Family Capital in The Family 100 Influencers list: John Elkann (FCA) and Gianni Mion (Edizione).
