Nilanjana Dutt and Cedric Gutierrez Receive Two SMJ Best Reviewer Awards

ASSIGNED BY THE STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT JOURNAL TO REVIEWERS WHO MADE AN OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO SMJ'S PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Nilanjana Dutt, Associate Professor of Strategy at Bocconi University's Department of Management and Technology, and Cédric Gutierrez, Assistant Professor at Bocconi University's Department of Management and Technology, received two Best Reviewer Awards from Strategic Management Journal (SMJ), a top-tier journal for research in strategic management.

The awards are conferred by the SMJ editorial team, who recognize a few outstanding reviewers for their excellent and constructive feedback to SMJ’s peer review process over the past year.

Professors Dutt and Gutierrez have been part of the SMJ Editorial Review Board for several years. “We believe that the review has to be constructive for the authors. In other words, it is not just a matter of pointing out what does not work in the paper, but also of offering solutions to the authors that may improve their work. At least, this is the way Professor Dutt and I review,” says Gutierrez.

The SMJ, founded in 1980, is the world’s leading journal for research in strategic management. The SMJ publishes papers that are selected through a rigorous double-blind review process.
