, by Fabio Todesco
The Assistant Professor in Public Management is the New Researcher Coordinator of the International Research Society for Public Management

Maria Cucciniello (Department of Policy Analysis and Public Management) has been nominated as New Researcher Coordinator of IRSPM, the International Research Society for Public Management and has been appointed member of the IRSPM Board at the XXI IRSPM annual conference in Budapest.

As New Researcher Coordinator her function will be to coordinate the New Researchers' chapter that aims at becoming the international network for future academic leaders in the field of public management by providing doctoral students and young academics (within three years of academic career) with a forum for the exchange and advancement of ideas in the field of public management; guidance and support on their doctoral and research activities; links and opportunities of dialogue with distinguished academics of the field.

IRSPM has grown out of a highly successful series of annual conferences. At the ninth conference, held at Bocconi University in 2005, the conference attendees agreed that a proposal would be developed to formalize this emerging network of researchers and to establish IRSPM. This idea was unanimously accepted at the tenth conference. The Society's mission is to develop and support research about public management and public policy implementation amongst the international research community and to facilitate the creation and dissemination of new knowledge and understanding across this community.
