Daniele Durante Associate Editor of Biometrika

THE JOURNAL IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT INTERNATIONAL PUBLICATIONS ON METHODOLOGICAL STATISTICS

Daniele Durante, Assistant Professor of Statistics at Bocconi’s Department of Decision Sciences, has been appointed Associate Editor of Biometrika, a top-tier scholarly journal established in 1901 by, among others, Karl Pearson and Francis Galton.

«Biometrika is one of the most important international journals on methodological statistics», Prof. Durante said, «and, throughout the years, has published foundational articles that have shaped the history of our discipline. Reading D.R. Cox (Biometrika: The first 100 years) and D.M. Titterington (Biometrika highlights from volume 28 onwards), I feel extremely honored to be the Associate Editor of such an historical journal, which is still actual and foundational. Having the chance to do this as an early-career researcher is even more stimulating, since it gives me the opportunity to sit at my desk one day a week with a good coffee and study deeply the interesting articles that I receive and, why not, extend my scientific horizons».
