Magda Antonioli Awarded for Good Practices During the Pandemic

THE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT WAS PRESENTED BY NEWS REMINDER IN COLLABORATION WITH THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT, OFFICE IN ITALY

Magda Antonioli, Associate Professor at Bocconi’s Department of Social and Political Sciences and a leading scholar in economics of tourism, is one of the recipients of the Premio Internazionale Buone Pratiche 2020 (International Good Practices Award), presented by News Reminder in collaboration with the European Parliament – Office in Italy.

Professor Antonioli has been awarded in the Culture and University section. The acknowledgements have been assigned to people that “in the state of emergency that marked the year 2020 worldwide, carried out their activities with competence, humanity and using efficient and effective forms of communication, thus contributing to revive Italian and European information, culture, and economy.”

"Education in the field of tourism and cultural and creative industries, supported also by its multidisciplinary nature, can respond to needs that are new and typical of a time of crisis, taking care of the spirit and trying to relieve the pressure of a very challenging time, in view of a future certainly based on different skills and values," said Professor Antonioli during the ceremony, which was attended by two Italian government ministers: Lucia Azzolina (Education, University and Research) and Fabiana Dadone (Public Administration).
