Eleanor Spaventa on the Scientific Committee on the Future of Europe

THE COMMITTEE WILL BE IN CHARGE OF PLANNING ACTIVITIES CONCERNING ITALY'S INVOLVEMENT IN THE CONFERENCE ON THE FUTURE OF EUROPE

Eleanor Spaventa, Professor of European Law at Bocconi University, is one of the 35 experts appointed by the Government to be part of the Scientific Committee, which is responsible for coordinating the planning, the preparation and the organization of events related to Italy's involvement in the Conference on the Future of Europe.
 
The Conference on the Future of Europe is organized by the European Parliament, the Council and the European Commission to listen to Europeans and to follow up, within their sphere of competences, on the recommendations made. The aim is to reach conclusions and provide guidance on the future of Europe by spring 2022.
 
All members of the Committee perform their duties free of charge.
 
The co-chairmen of the Scientific Committee are Paola Severino and Ambassador Ferdinando Nelli Feroci, who will be responsible for reporting on their activities to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the State Secretary for European Affairs.
