Gaia Rubera Joins Major Journals

THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING NAMED COEDITOR OF A LEADING PUBLICATION AND JOINS THE EDITORIAL BOARDS OF TWO MORE

Gaia Rubera, Amplifon Chair in Customer Science and Head of Bocconi’s Department of Marketing, has been nominated co-editor of the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, one of the leading academic publications in this research area, starting on December 1st. It is the first time that a female non-American co-editor is appointed. This position entails the responsibility of vetting incoming articles, rejecting outright those who do not meet the journal’s editorial standards, usually a large majority for a periodical of this standing. Those accepted by the editors will be peer-reviewed and eventually published, after any necessary revisions.

This is not the only recent acclaim for Rubera, who last June had joined the top-tier Journal of Marketing Research’s editorial board and with the coming new year will become a member of the editorial board of the Journal of International Business Studies, a multi-disciplinary publication whose scope is therefore not specifically limited to marketing science.

“This is a significant achievement for me personally,” Rubera comments, “but it also reflects the growing reputation of the whole Department of Marketing at Bocconi, which is now firmly established among the most authoritative.”
