THE PROFESSOR OF STRATEGY AND ORGANIZATION TOOK OFFICE AT THE ACADEMY OF MANAGEMENT JOURNAL ON JULY, 1

Marco Tortoriello, Full Professor of Strategy and Organization at Bocconi’s Department of Management and Technology and Associate Dean, Master Division, at SDA Bocconi School of Management, took office as Associate Editor of the Academy of Management Journal (AMJ) on July, 1.

As an Associate Editor, Prof. Tortoriello is part of a 20-strong body of scholars that decides which articles will be published in one of the top-tier journals of Management, as well as the one with the largest circulation.

«In addition to an honor, being an associate editor at AMJ is both a responsibility and an opportunity», says Prof. Tortoriello. «On the one hand, it’s one of the highest forms of international academic service and it’s a key role in allowing the field to develop according to the most rigorous academic standards. On the other, it brings me on the other side of the fence of the publishing industry, managing the process from a different angle, with the chance of an early view on the studies that will dictate the academic debate».
